Education

The Education Department at Prague Pride covers a wide range of topics related to educating both professionals and the general public about LGBT+ issues.

Our activities

For schools

We support schools and educational staff in teaching about LGBT+ topics through the project ucimolgbt.cz. This helps incorporate issues of gender, relationships, and sexual orientation into the school curriculum.

For youth

For queer youth, we organize the #buďteslyšet (#beheard) programme, an emancipatory educational initiative for individuals who want to learn how to be heard, seen, and actively participate in public and political life.

For parents

We organize a parent preparation programme for future LGBT+ parents and regularly connect this community during the Days for Rainbow Families, which take place several times a year at the LGBT+ Community Centre in Prague.

HIV awareness

We are marginally engaged in HIV awareness, with campaigns like U=U (Undetectable = Untransmittable).
