Pride Business Forum is a conference focused on advantages of diverse work teams and LGBT equality at workplace. I tis held in Hilton Prague Old Town hotel on Friday 21 June. Motto of this year’s conference is: Equality at workplace: it is easier than you think!
The conference will advise how to translate the principle of equality into everyday corporate practice and what managements should do to ensure that no LGBT employee is left behind. Practical measures - from easy to more complex - will be presented every employer can and should apply in order to implement LGBT equality at their workplaces.
Masen Davis, CEO of Freedom for All Americans, will deliver the key note. Masen is a seasoned strategist who has spent the last two decades leading efforts to advance equality for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people at state, national, and international levels. An openly gay and transgender man, he has appeared in numerous documentaries, and has contributed to books and journals.
Only 23% of Czech LGBT employees are fully out at work. Why?
The fear reaction of their colleagues, exclusion from collective of colleagues, losing chance for promotion.
But only a person who is not stressed by hiding their real identity is able to deliver 100% work performance.
Panel discussions with managers from international corporate environment are on the agenda as well as breakout sessions lead by experienced diversity experts. One session will be devoted to stand-up comedy with an Accenture analyst and stand-up comedian James Jurgensen and a Czech openly gay actress Jitka Smutná.
Winners of LGBT Friendly Employer Award 2019 will be announced during the afternoon program. The ceremony will be attended by the Mayor of Prague Zdeněk Hřib.
